The Gatternighof is a vacation home accommodating up to 18 people located high above the village of Obervellach in Carinthia, Austria at an elevation of 1130 meters.
This traditional farmhouse from the 19th century was lovingly converted into an ideal holiday paradise. It has six bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large farm kitchen and a spacious rustic living room. From the balconies you take in a breathtaking view of the Carinthian mountains. The entire house is available for your exclusive use.
I grew up in South-Limburg in the Netherlands. After graduating from university, I took
over my parents’ horticultural business together with my husband Ron. Our son Tom
now continues to run this successful enterprise www.bokhoveniers.com. In Austria I
trained as an alpine hiking guide and from 2012 till 2023 I have been a hiking guide for the Alpe
Adria trail. In addition, as an ambassador for Carinthia, I am privileged to introduce our
region at international recreational trade fairs.
I started visiting the Möll valley of Carinthia as a small child with my parents and right
away felt at home. I have fulfilled my biggest dream by working as a guide and National
Park ranger. I accompany international journalists along the Alpe Adria trail and through
the Hohe Tauern National Park. I advice guided walks in summer as well as snowshoe
walks in winter to foster a fascination for our unique natural environment. I am your personal point of contact if you wish to make your team building event something
